Choose Joy

Honestly, its hard to make me cry. I've never cried during a movie, nor do I cry when reading books, but after reading the last few posts on Sara Frankl's blog I definitely had tears in my eyes.

Sara has been struggling with Ankylosing Spondylitis (or AS) for the past few years.
She explains her disease in the following paragraph:

"[It]started out by attacking the joints in my sacrum [low back], spine and neck. As the joints are attacked, inflammation occurs and scar tissue forms around the joint. The goal of the disease is to keep attacking until that scar tissue forms into bone and fuses the joints together. The process of attacking/fusing is what causes a great deal of pain."

Despite her ongoing circumstances, pains, and confinement to her home, Sara has decided to "Choose Joy" instead of sorrow in her life. She has consistently posted on her blog for the past several years encouraging others to "Choose Joy" and bringing smiles to many, many faces.

Now, Sara is on her way home. Home to be with Jesus. They say that "Home is where the heart is" and Sara's heart is definitely with Jesus. Pray for her and her family at this time, she's on her way to TRUE joy that she will feel forever and ever.
